Day 1: Arrive into Dublin Airport▲
Pick up your rental car from Dublin Airport and drive to Dun Laoghaire, where you will spend two nights. Dun Laoghaire is a coastal suburb in Dublin and is only a 20 minute train journey from Dublin city center.
Day 2: Dublin city exploring▲
Explore Dublin city today. Your first stop is Trinity College, where you will visit the Book of Kells in the historic old library. We also recommend a visit to Guinness Storehouse. The seven-storey visitor experience tells the Guinness story from the early days to earning its status as a world famous drink of choice. Discover the wealth of Georgian houses with their brightly colored doors, the heritage pubs and enjoy the atmosphere of the city.
Day 3: Boyne Valley and Belfast▲
Go north towards Belfast. Perhaps stop in the Boyne valley, a region preserving ancient feats of architecture today. The Bru-na-Boinne Centre offers visits to megalithic passage tombs such as Newgrange or Knowth. Newgrange is older than the Great Pyramid of Giza and Stonehenge; be amazed by the ancient engineering of Ireland’s oldest heriage site! Arrive in Belfast. A city once afflicted by political conflict and violence, Belfast has turned into a cultural hub and popular destination. We recommend having a pint in the Crown Liquor Saloon, a 19th century heritage pub! Stay in the Malone Lodge Hotel for two nights.
Day 4: Titanic Quarter and Belfast Sightseeing▲
Spend the day exploring Belfast. See the Victorian architecture, political murals and the city’s university quarter. Later visit Titanic Belfast. Housed in an iconic, six floor building, this state of the art visitor experience tells the story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and subsequent place in history. We also recommend stopping by St George’s market; the last surviving Victorian covered market in Belfast!
Day 5: Giants Causeway and Derry▲
Day 6: Slieve League Cliffs and Donegal Mountains▲
Enjoy the full day touring around Donegal. Don’t miss Slieve League Cliffs, situated on the Atlantic coast. Renowned as the highest marine cliffs in Europe, they rise almost 2000ft (598 meters) from the Atlantic. Perhaps take the coastal road drive to Glencolmcille, an Atlantic outpost dating back 5,000 years. It is said that St Columba established a monastery there in the 6th century.
Day 7: Connemara and Galway▲
Discover the wild west today; the Connemara region. There are lakes, mountains, bogland, fields of sheep and a few solitary houses dotted along the way. Take in the panoramic views and enjoy the peace of this naturally unspoilt landscape. Perhaps stop at Kylemore Abbey and Walled Gardens, tucked away in the heart of Connemara. Drive to Galway, where you will spend two nights in the city.
Day 8: Galway city sightseeing▲
Take a stroll around the medieval city of Galway today and enjoy the bohemian atmosphere. Galway is renowned for its locally owned restaurants and shops. Galway pubs are full of ‘craic’ (Gaelic word for fun), go explore and you’ll find a traditional music session in the pubs any night of the week!
Day 9: Cliffs of Moher and Adare Manor▲
Leave Galway and travel along the Atlantic coast and discover the Burren region. The Burren is a karst landscape- the grey limestown covers an area of approximately 250km in county Clare. Discover the biodiversity of the seemingly ‘deserted’ region; over 70% of Ireland’s native flora are found there. Travel further along the Atlantic towards the Cliffs of Moher. Walk along the world-famous cliff edge and marvel at the dramatic landscape. When you’re ready, travel to the 5 star Adare Manor and Golf Resort. Adare Manor is set on a magnificent 840 acre estate in the heart of Adare village. Enjoy a dip in the pool, a quiet spell in the golf driving range, or a walk throught the magnificent grounds of the Manor estate. A luxurious end to your vacation.
Day 10: Depart from Shannon Airport▲
Time to say Slan go foill (goodbye in Gaelic) to Ireland for now- we recommend arriving in Shannon airport 3.5 hours prior to departure. Drop your rental car in Shannon Airport.
