Day 1: Arrival in Dublin Airport- Glendalough and Kilkea Castle▲
Arrive into Dublin Airport where you will be met by your private driver/guide and transferred to your luxury vehicle. Your first stop on the way is Glendalough, a 6th century monastic settlement scenically located in the Wicklow mountains. Perhaps also visit Powerscourt House and Gardens; the Gardens were recently voted No.3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic. Enjoy your first night in Ireland at Kilkea Castle – an elegant and spacious 12th Century Castle. With views of the River Greese, the Rose Garden and the courtyard, enjoy your first night in Ireland
Day 2: Waterford to Dromoland Castle via Tipperary▲
Travel west today – along the way perhaps visit the Rock of Cashel; the spectacular group of medieval buildings includes the 12th century round tower, Romanesque Chapel, the 13th century Gothic Cathedral and the 15th century Castle. We recommend a visit to Bunratty Castle & Folkpark. The 15th century castle and folk park offer a fascinating view into traditional Irish life in times gone by. Overnight at Dromoland Castle – set on 440 private acres, Dromoland is renowned for the very best that Ireland has to offer: award winning cuisine, a timeless atmosphere, & a wealth of estate activities – golf, fishing, falconry, clay fishing and archery.
Day 3: Cliffs of Moher, Galway and Ashford Castle▲
Today, enjoy the scenery of Ireland’s wonderful west coast. Visit the dramatic Cliffs of Moher and take a walk along the world-famous cliff edge. Later, travel via the Burren region, a karst and mysterious landscape, onto Galway City. Galway City, at the mouth of Galway Bay, is a picturesque and lively city hosting a fantastic mix of locally owned shops, pubs and restaurants. Your final destination today is the award-winning Ashford Castle, where you will spend two nights. One of Ireland’s most majestic castles, Ashford Castle boasts luxurious accommodation with dramatic views of Lough Corrib.
Day 4: Connemara▲
Discover the wild and beautiful region Connemara today. Connemara is renowned for its stunning mountains, lakes, tumbling streams, undulating bog and unspoiled beaches. Don’t miss Kylemore Abbey & Walled Gardens, ‘Ireland’s most romantic castle’, originally built as a wedding gift in in the 19th Century. Or take the Killary Cruise and enjoy the splendor of Ireland’s only Fjord. Return to Ashford Castle for overnight.
Day 5: Mayo to Donegal via the Atlantic Coast▲
Travel via Mayo & Sligo today. Stop in Westport town- also known as the Riviera of the Wild Atlantic Way! Westport is a fun town with a vibrant offering of restaurants, pubs and shops. Next take the Mullaghmore scenic route, characterized by views of the Atlantic and the monolithic shape of Ben Bulben mountain. Arrive at Lough Eske Castle, Winner of the World’s Best Luxury Country Hotel. A beautifully restored Gaelic castle hugging the shores of Lough Eske, near the fabled Bluestack mountains in Donegal, Lough Eske is a luxurious oasis of relaxed elegance, attentive service & exceptional food.
Day 6: Donegal and Slieve League Cliffs▲
Enjoy the full day touring around Donegal county. Don’t miss Slieve League Cliffs, situated on the Atlantic coast. Renowned as the highest marine cliffs in Europe, they rise almost 2000ft (598m) from the Atlantic. Perhaps take the coastal road drive to Glencolmcille, an Atlantic outpost dating back 5,000 years. It is said that St. Columba established a monastery there in the 6th century.
Day 7: Donegal and Cavan ▲
After a hearty breakfast, travel south with your driver. We recommend a visit to Belleek Factory & Visitor Center where you can discover the secrets of Belleek pottery craftsmanship. Perhaps explore the Marble Arch Caves located deep under the Cuilcagh Mountains in county Fermanagh. Enjoy your last night in Ireland at Cabra Castle – Set on 100 acres of parkland and garden, with the magnificent backdrop of Dun a Ri Forest Park, there is much to explore both indoors and out. Your driver will leave you here.
Day 8: Depart from Dublin Airport▲
Time to say Slán go fóill (goodbye in gaelic) to Ireland for now – a private driver will transfer you to Dublin Airport for your departure flight.
