DAY 1 – Dublin Airport to Galway.
Céad Míle Fáilte (a hundred thousand welcomes!) – Meet your driver guide on arrival at Dublin Airport and begin your adventure of the “land of 40 shades of green”.
Sample an Irish whiskey at Kilbeggan Distillery in the midlands of Ireland and check out Ireland’s oldest pub – Sean’s Bar – in Athlone – before arriving into the relaxed and laid-back city of Galway for dinner and overnight accommodation at the Ardilaun Hotel in Galway City.
DAY 2 – Connemara Tour.
Explore the wild and rugged region of Connemara with a visit to the majestic Kylemore Abbey and the wonderfully quaint and historic village of Cong with its iconic Pat Cohan’s Pub from the classic movie the Quiet Man.
Back in Galway visit Micil Distillery, before having the rest of your evening free to soak up the bohemian flavour and peat scented pubs of the city of tribes.
DAY 3 – Galway to Cork City.
Breathe in the essence of the Wild Atlantic Way today as you travel southwards through County Clare, a landscape laced with dry-stone walls and a sprinkle of thatched cottages. You will discover the Emerald Isle is much more than 40 shades of green, after a photo stop on the vast, moon-like Burren – a rocky limestone paradise in the West of Ireland.
Take a stroll along the blustery clifftops of the majestic Cliffs of Moher with the crashing waves below and eight dramatic headlands rolling off into the distance. A sharp slap of Atlantic air in the face will make you feel truly alive and energized!
Sitting proudly on an island in the middle of the River Lee, Cork City’s feelgood energy surges through its many pubs. Cork has a strong tradition of brewing that’s reinvigorated at the Franciscan Well Brewery and it’s special healing well. After dinner at your hotel relax or have a city pub crawl of your own staying at the Metropole Hotel in Cork City.
DAY 4 – Blarney & Midleton.
Outside of Cork City uncover another side of Ireland’s history within the medieval stronghold of Blarney Castle, with its dark dungeons, mystical gardens, and the famous Blarney Stone.
Savour the amazing aromas at the Jameson Distillery Midleton, home to the largest Copper Pot Still in the world, and enjoy being surrounded by 1,000 casks of mature whiskey in the maturation warehouse. Continue your own exploration of the pubs of Cork or relax back at the hotel.
DAY 5 – Cork to Dublin.
This morning after breakfast travel directly to Dublin City to visit the Guinness Storehouse®, located in the heart of the Guinness Brewery at St James’s Gate.
Have an early dinner at your hotel before joining the Musical Pub Crawl. The Traditional Irish Musical Pub Crawl is led by two friendly, professional musicians who perform tunes and songs while telling the story of Irish Music and its influences on contemporary world music staying at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane in Dublin City.
DAY 6 – Dublin City.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before visiting the Irish Whiskey Museum to hear the tales of Irish whiskey through the ages and to sample three authentic Irish whiskeys. Continue your exploration of Dublin’s distilling heritage on a guided tour of Teeling Whiskey Distillery and experience the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a fully operational distillery.
After some free time in the city get ready to experience an enchanting evening of Irish folklore, song, dance and music, while enjoying a traditional Irish dinner at a traditional Irish Night in a local venue.
DAY 7 – Depart Dublin Airport
This morning, a private driver will meet you in the hotel lobby and transfer you to Dublin Airport for your departure flight.
