Touring Itinerary:

Arrive into Shannon Airport early morning where you will be met by your driver and escorted to your luxury mini-coach.

Today you will have the opportunity to play one of Ireland’s most famous courses, Ballybunion Old Course. The legendary Tom Watson described the glorious links course at Ballybunion as “the best in the world”. “Ballybunion is a course on which many golf architects should live and play before they build golf courses. I consider it a true test of golf.”

High praise indeed for this magnificent test of golf which meanders menacingly through massive dunes on the shores of the Atlantic. The Old Course is a Par 71, 6593 yards and is consistently ranked as one of the world’s top ten courses. It features a graveyard by the first tee, which some say is a warning to golfers who breeze through the first five holes only to come face to face with the ever challenging 6th, the fiendish 8th, the par four 11th and the devilishly tricky 15th.

Today you take a panoramic route, via the famous Ring of Kerry to play one of Ireland’s most renowned Courses at Mahonys Point, Killarney Golf Club, a lakeside course with spectacular views including the famous, breathtaking 18th described by Gene Sarazen as “one of the most memorable holes in the world”. This inspiring setting of incomparable beauty has moved many an overseas golfer to extol it as “the most enchanting place on earth”. The richly wooded grounds for this & its 2 other courses were originally made available by Lord Castlerosse, an avid golfer, whose passion for horticulture manifests in the colourful and varied shrubbery throughout the courses.

Travel to Kerry’s other peninsula, the Dingle Peninsula, today to play the Dingle Links/Ceann Sibeal Course-a breath-taking yet challenging course, renowned for its 9th hole, called by the Irish name ‘Ifreann,’ which in English means ‘Hell’.

The most westerly golf course in Europe, each hole on this magnificent links is carved from the natural landscape of one of the most unspoiled parts of Europe, with hazards laid down before the game of golf was dreamt of, including a winding ‘burn’ that twists and turns through the entire course.

As you play, the whole panorama of the Dingle Peninsula is revealed – hidden Bays with small fishing villages, glorious hills and mountains and the Blasket Islands out in the wild Atlantic. This area abounds in archeological treasures, wild flora and fauna, arts and crafts and ancient Gaelic culture. The Irish language is still spoken here. These magical and mystical qualities will make your round of golf at Ceann Sibeal one you will never forget.

Crossing over the Cork and Kerry mountains you will arrive into Ireland’s second city of Cork, continue to the picturesque fishing port of Kinsale where you will play at the Old Head Golf Course.

The Old Head of Kinsale is one of the most remarkable developments ever conceived in the history of golf, an Atlantic promontory that will never be rivalled in terms of drama and beauty. The site is a rugged breathtaking peninsula on the southern coast of Ireland, jutting dramatically out into the Atlantic. It rises hundreds of feet high above dramatic cliffs, surrounded by the ocean on all sides and commanding the most spectacular views from virtually every part. Joe Carr the most celebrated player in the history of Irish amateur golf, has designed the course in conjunction with Ron Kirby, Eddie Hackett and Paddy Merrigan. Carr believes that this, his single gift to golf in Ireland, could not be surpassed.
