Touring Itinerary:

Day 1: Shannon to Galway

‘Céad Mile Fáilte!’ – One hundred thousand welcomes! On arrival into Shannon you will be met by a private driver/guide and transferred to your luxury motor vehicle. Travel north to Galway, reputed to have been Columbus’ final point of departure on his epoch-making voyage of discovery. Highlights of the city include Eyre Square, Lynch’s Castle, St. Nicholas’ Church, O’Brien’s Bridge, Spanish Arch, the Famous Claddagh and the beautiful Galway Bay. You could also visit the Galway City Museum, which showcases the history & heritage of Galway. Overnight at the luxury G Hotel, one of the top 5 star hotels and spas in Ireland and the only 5 star hotel in Galway City.

Day 2: Connemara
This morning after a hearty Irish Breakfast, you can tour the beautiful Connemara Countryside. You may like to visit the spectacular Kylemore Abbey – originally a private residence, this castellated house overlooking Kylemore Lake is a splendid example of neo-Gothic architecture. In 1920 it was turned over to the Benedictine nuns, who have since opened the grounds and part of the house to the public. The highlight is the recently restored Gothic chapel, considered a miniature cathedral. Return to the G Hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Galway to Killarney

Depart the City of the Tribes and travel south via the magnificent Clare Coastline stopping at the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. From Galway, travel via the village of Ballyvaughan, where the winding coast road turns seaward again passing Black Head lighthouse. You could visit Doolin Cave, or Aillwwee Cave in the Burren region. Out beyond in the blue Atlantic are the three Aran Islands of Inishmor, Inish Mean and Inisheer and the outline of the Connemara coast. Travel through the village of Doolin, a wellspring of all that is best in Irish traditional music and song. Stop at the awesome cliffs of Moher, rising a sheer 800ft from the ocean below. After a sightseeing trip at the Cliffs of Moher, the road winds down to Lisdoonvarna; here you may like to stop for lunch-break and an opportunity to visit a local pub.

Continue via the Shannon Ferry from Kilimer to Tarbert to arrive in Co. Kerry; travel via Tralee down to Killarney where you will overnight at the Killarney Royal for the next 2 nights.

Check into the Muckross Park Hotel & Cloisters Spa, one of Killarney’s Leading 5 star Hotels & the only hotel located in the majestic National Park.

Day 4: Ring of Kerry
Explore the world renowned Ring of Kerry with your driver/guide. The Ring of Kerry Tour takes you through spectacular coastal and mountainous scenery along the base of the highest mountain range in Ireland, The MacGillycuddy Reeks. The journey takes you through villages and towns depicting typical rural life in Ireland. You may like to visit Muckross House, a 19th century manor house, majestically situated on the shores of Muckross Lake.

Alternatively explore County Kerry’s other Peninsulas, the Dingle Peninsula or the Beara Peninsula.

Return to the Muckross Park Hotel for overnight.

Day 5: Killarney to Cork
Travel via the spectacular southwest coastline today. Spend the day touring the lovely coastal villages of – Bantry, Skibbereen, Clonakilty, and time permitting Kinsale. In Skibbereen you may like to stop at the Skibbereen Heritage Centre; Skibbereen was one of the worst affected areas in Ireland during the Great Famine.

Arrive into Cork City, one of Europe hippest cities. Highlights include Cork City Gaol, St. Finbarr’s Cathedral, Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, the English Market & Cork Opera House. Continue east to your accommodation at  the Castlemartyr Resort where you will overnight for the next two nights – Cork’s luxury 5 star hotel consists of a grand century Country Manor house that sits adjacent to the ruins of an 800 year old Castle.

Day 6: Blarney & Cobh
Today you can visit the famous Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone, which has the traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it. In the afternoon visit the town of Cobh. The “Titanic” sailed from Cobh, never to touch land again. The Cobh Heritage Centre will tell these stories in a way that is fitting and sympathetic of the endeavor and trauma of the people who were involved. Return to Castlemartyr for overnight.

Day 7: Depart Ireland
Return to Shannon or Dublin airport for your flight to the US -‘Slan Abhaile!’
