Arrive into Dublin Airport where you will pick your car up from the Hertz desk. Travelling northerly you will take the main road for Belfast. You can view the beautiful and enchanting Kingdom of Down stretching from the Mourne Mountains to the shores of the Irish Sea. in Downpatrick, is one of Northern Ireland's major Millennium Projects, housing the first permanent exhibition to tell the story of Ireland's Patron Saint. The exhibition, entitled 'Ego Patricius,' presents Patrick's story in his own words and in the context of the period. The exhibition uses state of the art interpretation that gives visitors a real understanding of the arrival and establishment of Christianity in Ireland. Continue onto Belfast for your first night. |

The core of downtown Belfast sits beside the West Bank of the River Lagan. The city revolves around a central point, Donegall Square, which holds the City Hall. All roads radiate out from there. Donegall Place, which extends northward from the square, leads to Royal Avenue, a prime-shopping district. The centre of Belfast is full of many fine restaurants and bars most notably the exquisite Crown Bar in the city centre.

| Day 2 |
|
Today you will travel through Belfast along the Coast of Antrim, passing through each of the beautiful "Nine Glens of Antrim". The famous Antrim coast road runs through Glenarm, Carnlough, Cushendall, all great stops, and passes close to Layd Church, Ossian's Grave and Cushendun. You should take the opportunity to stop at the fabulous Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge. Located just outside the seaside town of Ballycastle - the Rope Bridge is not for the faint hearted. The bridge is a working bridge to enable the local fishermen to reach the salmon fishery, which is on the tiny island connected to the mainland, by the bridge.

You will then proceed on up the coast and pay a visit to Old Bushmills Distillery, and you will have the opportunity to see this age old process of distilling at firsthand, and to try and taste the difference between the Single Malt and Black Bush after your tour. Explore the fabulous Giants Causeway - regarded as the "8th Wonder of the World". The audiovisual presentation in the excellent visitor center will recall all the legends surrounding the causeway and you will be able to explore the amazing stone structure. In the evening you will have the chance to see Dunluce Castle - the ancient ruins provide a rewarding stop and fabulous views out over the sea.

| Day 3 |
|
This morning you may wish to visit the historic City of Derry is the best example of a walled city in Ireland. The award winning Tower Museum recalls the turbulent history of the city and also provides you with a chance to walk the walls for yourself. In the afternoon a visit to the natural marvels of the underground will leave you equally as impressed. Visit the Marble Arch Caves near Florence Court and take the underground tour through these caves. Over the ages running water burrowing through the soft limestone of the area has created miles of dark caves and underground passages that offer a speleological playground to cavers and pot-holers. This is one of Ireland's largest cave systems, oozing with stalagmites and stalactites, nowadays spectacularly lit up by arc lamps for the wonder of the modern visitors who descend into the underground labyrinth of caves.

| Day 4 |
|
Today you will travel via Strabane and Omagh to the historic town of Enniskillen, noted for its wonderful castle. Dating back to the 15th Century, this impressive castle overlooks Lough Erne on the edge of Enniskillen. The darkened vaults show life in the castle in the 15th and 17th century and the history of the castle can be traced from its beginnings as a stronghold of the Maguire chieftains until its use as a barracks in the 1700s and 1800s. Situated on the banks of the River Erne, visiting Belleek Pottery Factory is like a step back in time. The methods and techniques developed by the very first craftsmen are still followed today. A video presentation in the audiovisual theatre takes visitors through the production process before the guided tour begins. Then it's on to the casting, fettling and flowering shops to see how craftsmen design, mould and shape the Parian. Visitors will learn how the intricate strands of the basketware are woven together using techniques passed down from generation to generation. The tour then passes through to the furnace area and ends in the painting rooms where the delicate colors of nature are artfully applied.

Leave Enniskillen and head east the ancient city of Armagh. Armagh is the spiritual capital of Ireland, where St. Patrick built his stone church in AD445. Armagh is a wonderful city to explore on foot: two cathedrals, museums, 18th century observatory, archbishops' palace and stables. The prehistoric Navan Fort, capital of the Kings of Ulster is two miles west of the city and well worth a visit. Also worth visiting is Armagh Planetarium, which offers a unique visitor experience in Ireland. Start with a fascinating live multimedia presentation. Then tour the Hall of Astronomy and Eartharium and find out more about Earth and Space. After all that exploration, you can relax in the Voyager Cafe or browse through the well stocked Space Gift Shop. Outside stroll through a scale model of the Universe in the Astropark.
