“Mayo is Magic” is a sentiment echoed enthusiastically by every visitor lucky enough to discover this very special corner of Ireland. Located on the spectacular Atlantic west coast of Ireland, Mayo welcomes tourists with open arms. The three main towns are Castlebar, Ballina and Westport each of which has excellent accommodation base and plenty of entertainment options. Smaller towns and little villages are scattered throughout the county and almost all have small hotels or the traditional B&B’s where visitors are welcomed into family homes. The personal touch is one of the county’s greatest assets. Mayo is a stronghold of the business owner-manager where shops, pubs and restaurants proudly bear the proprietors name over the doorway. The welcome here is genuine. Along with the hospitality, Mayo also has a wonderful varied landscape. A long coastline features superb safe beaches and all the drama of the highest sea cliffs in Europe.
