Knitting Tour of Ireland

Friday, July 6th, 2012

Knitting has been part of Irish life since it was introduced in the 1600s. Knitting schools were established throughout the country, and knitting became an industry and a source of income for many households in the 18th century. An abundance of sheep and a surfeit of time on our hands have led us to produce an abundance of woolly goods. Knitting is one of the world’s greatest stress relievers and a personal and creative way to make a gift. Aran sweaters, with their detailed patterns, are a symbol of Irishness around the world and continue to inspire contemporary fabric designs.

Join us for our upcoming woolly tour that will get your needles clacking………….

Castle & Manor Private Tour of Ireland from $1299.00

Monday, March 5th, 2012

Ireland is renowned for a breath-taking landscape; the lush green pastures of the island surrounded by its dramatic wind swept cliffs. More often than not, an old tower or castle ruin stands proudly, a symbol of the country’s history. As a small country with big history, castles were a common symbol of power and protection. Eventually these castles began to be replaced by Tower Houses, which then were developed into much bigger estates and symbols of the finest architectural design.

An Irish castle or manor home represents hundred of years of history, which is undoubtedly why so many people are fascinated with them. Not many experiences can be trumped by staying in an authentic Irish castle or manor- with some built as early as the 13th century, they have been restored to the highest standards of luxurious accommodation.

Experience the historical grandeur of an Irish castle stay firsthand! Our Castle & Manor Tour is available from just $1299.00 Per Person - this 5* Private Chauffeur tour features Ashford Castle & Adare Manor.
