Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 – Arrive into Dublin
Arrive into Dublin Airport where you will be met by your driver/guide. Your first stop is the 12th century Malahide Castle, for Morning Tea & Scones. After, visit Trinity College & the Book of Kells before finishing with a visit to Dublin Castle in the evening. Overnight with welcome dinner in Dublin City.

Day 2 – Full Day Tour of Co. Meath
Visit Bru na Boinne, one of the largest & most important prehistoric megalithic sites in Europe – its 3 large passage tombs are over 5000 years old. Visit the Hill of Tara, the most sacred site in ancient Ireland. The final stop today is the Battle of the Boyne Center in Slane. Overnight again in Dublin.

Day 3 – Dublin to Wexford
Travel south to Glendalough in Co Wicklow, the early 6th century Christian ecclesiastical settlement. Continue to the National Heritage Park in Co Wexford an experience of 9000 years of Irish history. Visit the Kennedy homestead, home to the greatest political dynasty in American history. Overnight in Wexford with dinner.

Day 4 – Wexford to Cork
Visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship, an insight into the famine emigrant experience. After, travel south to visit the Old Midleton Distillery in Cork. Stop in Cobh, the single most important port of emigration in Ireland & the last port of call for the Titanic – visit the Cobh Heritage Center. Overnight in Cork with dinner.

Day 5 – Cork to Killarney
Visit Charles Fort in Kinsale, a 17th century fort which had military use until 1922. Continue via West Cork to the Heritage Centre in Skibbereen to explore their Famine Commemoration Exhibition. Travel via Bantry & Kenmare & onto Killarney. Visit Muckross House and Gardens, the 19th century Victorian mansion exhibiting the environment of the National Park and the folklore of Co. Kerry in the 19th & 20th centuries. Overnight in Killarney with dinner.

Day 6 -Ring of Kerry
This tour takes you through spectacular coastal & mountainous scenery along the base of the highest mountain range in Ireland, The MacGillycuddy Reeks. As you descend into Killarney, fabulous views of the three Lakes of Killarney are afforded from ‘Ladies View’. Overnight again in Killarney.

Day 7 – Killarney to Galway
Travel north to Galway & enroute stop at the village of Bunratty and visit the Bunratty Castle and Folkpark, built in 1425. After, stop at the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare. Arrive into Galway City “City of the Tribes” for overnight. Overnight in Galway with dinner.

Day 8 – Connemara
Connemara is one of the most thriving Gaeltacht areas in Ireland. Here, visit Cnoic Suain, the Irish Cultural Centre retreat. Visit the spectacular 1920 Kylemore Abbey with its dramatic landscape and iconic image as a gothic castle. Overnight in Galway.

Day 9 – Galway to Dublin
Today visit the Kilbeggan Distillery Experience – established in 1757, it’s the last remaining example of a small pot distillery in Ireland. Continue to visit Kilmainham Gaol – the tour gives a good insight into the history of Irish Republicanism. The leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising were executed here. Enjoy a farewell dinner in Dublin where each tour member will be presented with the Certificate of Irish Heritage, compliments of Specialized Travel Services {terms apply}.

Day 10: Depart
Private Group Transfer to Dublin Airport for your transatlantic flight to the US -Slan Abhaile! (Safe Home)
